Buhari’s Supporters Seize Lamido’s Supporter in Kaduna, Chop Off his Hand

Some Kaduna youths supporting President Muhammadu Buhari, who have been described as thugs, yesterday attacked the supporters of the former Jigawa State governor and PDP Presidential aspirant for the 2019 general election, Alhaji Sule Lamido.

Although no death was recorded in the attack, the armed Kaduna hoodlums reportedly seized a supporter of Lamido and chopped off his hand after they invaded the Rabah Road in the metropolis where former governor Lamido was inspecting his campaign office.

A witness to the attck, Muhammed Sarki, revealed that Lamido’s supporters were caught unawares by the thugs, who he described as political hoodlums.

He said –

“Lamido’s supporters had gathered at his campaign office and they were being addressed by the politician but I think what angered the political hoodlums was when Lamido during his address criticised President Muhammadu Buhari for poor performance.”

He added that the Buhari supporters later invaded the campaign office of Sule Lamido and started attacking the former governor’s supporters after he had ended his address.

It was further gathered that after a free-for-all fight between Buhari’s supporters and Lamido’s supporters after the former’s attack, five persons were seriously injured including the chap that had his hand chopped off.

Lamido, other top politicians at the venue, as well as journalists all fled the area for safety when the Buhari supporters attacked.
