A real life ‘mutant turtle’ with two heads and six legs has become a ‘local celebrity’ after it was found in a Chinese pet shop.

Locals have been going to see the turtle after the store owner – named as Mr Wong – discovered the baby red-eared slider.

Mr Wong, who owns a flower and fish shop in China’s Shanxi Province, found the creature after a trip to the wholesale market where he’d bought a box of Brazilian turtles.

It’s thought he unknowingly also picked up the six-legged turtle, which is said to be just a few months old.

A shop owner found the creature after returning from a trip to a wholesale market

It can move all his legs, blinks and eats like all his counterparts,

A normal red-eared slider can reach 12 inches in length and live for up to two decades if looked after well.

The discovery mirrors the popular children’s TV show Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles where four of the creatures were altered by radiation to become a crime fighting team.
